Overview:
2015 sees the release of IZAH’s debut full length Sistere for wich the band teamed up with producer Jochem Jacobs (ex-Textures). Sistere has become a heartfelt 72 minute long musical narration through darkness and light, hope and despair. In four heavy atmospheric compositions IZAH takes the listener from serene post-rock passages to crushing hardcore grooves, from dark ambient to free form noise and from hypnotising black metal to massive walls of sludge
Blending styles such as sludge/metal/post-rock with the feelings evoked by other atmospheric metal acts such as Katatonia, Year of no Light, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Agalloch, IZAH shows that “Sistere” will be climbing high upon the mountain of melancholic tunes in the year of 2015.
